Learn More About Our Mission, and Vision for Improving Lives Through Better Hearing Care.

Our Clinical Philosophy

Hearing and listening are interconnected neurocognitive processes. Hearing provides access to sound, while listening involves attention, memory, and the brain’s ability to interpret and prioritize speech. At AUDICOG, we evaluate hearing beyond basic audibility to understand how speech is processed in real-world environments. Our comprehensive assessments consider speech understanding in noise, listening effort, cognitive load, communication demands, overall quality of life, and hearing-related cognitive wellness assessment. Care is individualized, evidence-based, and aligned with each patient’s functional goals and daily communication needs.

What Makes Our Approach Different

Traditional hearing care often emphasizes amplification alone. Our care model integrates diagnostic precision with brain-based processing to support measurable communication outcomes. We incorporate brain health principles into every stage of evaluation and treatment, recognizing that speech understanding, listening effort, and cognitive load influence daily function and overall quality of life. Care includes thorough assessment, clear explanation of findings, shared decision-making, and practical, individualized recommendations aligned with each patient’s goals. When appropriate, we may incorporate cognitive wellness training informed by the results of a cognitive wellness assessment. Learn more about our approach.

Comprehensive Hearing & Brain Health Services

We provide a full range of adult audiology services, including comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations, hearing device selection and management, tinnitus assessment and counseling, and listening-in-noise and communication support. Additionally, we incorporate cognitive wellness assessments and brain-based listening and cognitive training programs. AUDICOG specializes in adult hearing and communication care. We do not provide pediatric hearing care services at this moment.

Yes. When appropriate, we collaborate with physicians, neurologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care for our patients.

Both are central to care at AUDICOG. Hearing and brain health are deeply interconnected — how clearly you hear directly affects listening effort, attention, and cognitive load. Our evaluations address hearing, communication performance, and hearing-related cognitive wellness together. This is an audiologic practice — we do not diagnose or treat neurological conditions, but we work collaboratively with other providers when broader concerns are identified.
