About Dr. Pratihar

Dr. Rajarshi "Raj" Pratihar has helped adults hear better for more than 20 years. He is a licensed audiologist. He is also the founder of AUDICOG in Bellaire, Texas.

AUDICOG is different from a typical hearing clinic. Dr. Pratihar focuses on how your hearing connects to your brain — your memory, attention, and ability to follow conversations.

Before opening AUDICOG, Dr. Pratihar led the audiology department at UTHealth Houston. Before that, he spent 12 years as a senior audiologist at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. He has cared for thousands of patients — from straightforward hearing loss to complex cases tied to cancer treatment, tinnitus, and brain health.

"Even mild hearing loss doubles the risk of dementia. Hearing aids can act as a facilitator for your brain and cognitive health."

— Dr. Pratihar, UT Physicians, 2023

Dr. Pratihar believes hearing care should never feel rushed. At AUDICOG, every visit is one-on-one. Every recommendation is explained in plain language. And every plan is built around what you need — whether that's hearing your grandkids, following a conversation at dinner, or staying sharp at work.
